Binomo demo account: how to practise so it actually helps
The Binomo demo account gives you 10,000 in virtual funds on the same platform as live trading. Used properly, it tells you whether you are ready. Used badly, it teaches habits that cost money later.
What you get
Once you register, your account has two balances: a demo balance of 10,000 virtual funds and a real balance that starts at zero. You switch between them with one tap at the top of the trading screen. The assets, chart tools, expiry times and payout percentages on demo mirror the live account.
When the demo balance runs low, you can refill it to 10,000 for free. There is no time limit and the demo stays available after you make a real deposit.
Why most people use the demo wrong
The usual pattern goes like this. Someone opens the demo, places a dozen $500 trades in an hour, doubles the balance on a lucky streak, and decides they have a talent. A week later they deposit real money, trade the same way, and the account is empty by Friday.
The demo is not a game. It is the cheapest test you will ever get. Treat it as a test.
A two-week demo plan
This is the routine we suggest to friends who ask. It is boring on purpose.
- Pick one asset. EUR/USD or gold is fine. Do not jump between ten.
- Fix your stake. Trade as if your account were $100 and never risk more than $2 per trade. On a 10,000 demo that means $200, not $2,000.
- Use one expiry time. Five minutes is a reasonable start. One-minute trades are mostly noise.
- Write down every trade. Date, asset, direction, reason, result. A notebook or a spreadsheet both work.
- Count after 100 trades. Divide wins by total trades. Compare that to the break-even rate for your payout.
If your win rate after 100 trades is below the break-even line, the honest answer is that you are not ready for real money yet. That is useful to know, and it cost you nothing.
How often you need to be right just to break even
Because a loss costs the full stake and a win pays less than 100%, a coin-flip strategy loses money over time.
What the demo cannot show you
Three things only appear with real money:
- Your nerves. Losing $5 of your own money feels very different from losing $500 of virtual funds.
- Withdrawal friction. Verification, payment limits and processing times only matter on a live balance.
- Bonus rules. Deposit bonuses with turnover conditions do not exist on demo.
So when you move to a live account, start smaller than you think you need. $10 deposited and $1 trades is a perfectly sensible first month.

Demo account questions
Do I need to deposit to use the demo?
No. You register with an email or Google account and the demo balance is there straight away.
Is the demo the same as real trading?
The charts, assets and payout rules are the same. What is different is you. People take bigger risks with play money and freeze up with real money. That gap is worth knowing about.
Can I withdraw what I earn on demo?
No. Demo funds are virtual and have no cash value.
